Andrew Stone
Andrew developed a passion for aviation at a young age while perched on his father’s shoulders at an air show. This experience would ignite a sense of wonder and adventure that would follow him throughout his childhood.
After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University, Andrew served as a Communications Officer in the Marine Corps. This journey eventually led him to the Montana Army National Guard, where he realized his dream of becoming a military aviator.
He completed helicopter flight training at the Army’s flight school in Fort Novosel, Alabama, mastering the UH-72 Lakota (Eurocopter EC145) and advancing to the UH-60M (Sikorsky S-70M). After graduating, Andrew returned to Montana and joined C Company, 1-189th General Support Aviation Battalion as a Medevac pilot flying the HH-60M.
In addition to his extensive helicopter experience, Andrew is well-versed in fixed-wing flying. He holds commercial licenses with instrument ratings along with an airplane flight instructor certificate. This diverse skill set allows him to offer comprehensive training to aspiring pilots at Vàli Air Service.
With deep roots in Southwest Montana, Andrew calls Livingston home and operates Vali Air Service as a local family-owned business. His unwavering commitment to excellence in aviation is at the core of our mission.
